  • Omega celebrates the 100-day countdown to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games with a new Speedmaster.
  • It is packaged in a 38mm stainless steel case and driven by a 52-hour Co-Axial 3330 automatic movement.
  • The white dial is inspired by the frosted surfaces of ski slopes and incorporates Olympics-inspired typography.

You could argue Omega is most well-known for its relationship with NASA, space expeditions, and the moon landing, or its longstanding tenure as the selected watchmaker of James Bond. But completing this trinity of industry-leading partnerships and broader culture positioning is Omega’s esteemed role as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. According to Olympics.com, the Tokyo 2020 Games were watched by over 3 billion people across television and digital platforms; the Beijing 2022 Winter Games by 2 billion people, and the Paris 2024 Games by over 5 billion people.

With billions tuning in, and Omega’s timekeeping technology front and centre at each event, it is naturally a moment worth celebrating with a special edition. That leads us to the chronograph that dropped today in honour of 100 days until the 2026 Olympic Winter Games: the new Omega Speedmaster 38mm Milano Cortina 2026 100 Days.

Offered within a fully polished 38mm stainless steel case, 14.75mm thick and a compact 44.96mm lug-to-lug, the Speedmaster 38mm Milano Cortina 2026 has the advantage of welcoming dimensions for wrists of all proportions. Furthering its wrist democracy, it is sold on a mixed-finished stainless steel bracelet that features Omega’s patented comfort release adjustment system (2 positions, 2.30mm) for finer sizing.

Though the Speedmaster 38mm may not have the same iconic status as its larger Professional Moonwatch sibling, it notably boasts twice the depth rating, with 100 metres of water-resistance, and it is driven by a COSC-certified, 52-hour automatic Co-Axial 3330 movement that elevates its daily wearability and perhaps better speaks to the broader marketplace due to its selfwinding capability.

Its white lacquered and varnished dial, framed by a blue ceramic tachymetre-scaled bezel insert, will also certainly have broad appeal, and Omega has crafted the Speedmaster 38mm Milano Cortina 2026 dial to tastefully evoke the Olympic Winter Games it is inspired by and celebrating the impending arrival of.

“Giving the design a unique winter infusion, the white varnished dial has been overlaid with a light blue frosting,” Omega explains, continuing: “A finger trace then runs through the frosting, creating a pattern inspired by the ‘2’ of the Milano Cortina 2026 emblem. Meanwhile, the watch’s subdials are also varnished and finished with a special azurage technique that resembles a groomed ski slope.” A further special twist can be found within the calendar complication at the 6 o’clock position, which utilises the distinct Milano Cortina 2026 typography.

The solid, engraved caseback commemorates the upcoming games with a stamped Milano Cortina 2026 medallion, and the watch is sold with a special Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic box. The Olympic throughline of its design is overt enough to feel that much more special to big fans of the Olympic Winter Games, but the tasteful special twists, executed in safer hues of white and blue, stand to appeal to even those not all that fussed about the major worldwide sporting event.
