THE HOME OF WATCH CULTURE

Jamie Weiss

Managing Editor

“Hi, I’m Jamie, and I’m a watchaholic.”

Ever since Jamie was a kid, he was obsessed with clocks, watches and gauges. As he grew up, that developed into a full-blown addiction to fast cars and even faster chronographs, especially after spending a year living in the heart of watch culture, Switzerland. After cutting his teeth as a radio host and one of Australia’s top lifestyle journalists, he’s now Time+Tide’s Managing Editor. An expert on luxury watches, performance cars, travel, music and whisky, Jamie’s fascinated by the intersection between watch culture and popular culture, as well as the gloriously decadent and anachronistic nature of mechanical watches… You can usually find him at the T+T Discovery Studio smashing away at his keyboard (or getting distracted by the latest shipment of cool new watches).

First watch: A G-Shock DW9052 that’s lost the ‘H’ in its logo, so I call it my “G-Sock”.

Favourite watch: My Tudor Black Bay Pro – my first “big boy” watch.

Finale watch: A three-way tie between an A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus Titanium, Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Everest or a Grand Seiko SBGZ009. Or maybe I’d have all three?
